I'm fundraising for Rethink Mental Illness!

This September, I am taking on Steps in Challenge for Rethink Mental Illness - a cause close to my heart!

It is so important to have access to resources and support.

That's why I am taking part in this event - to help Rethink Mental Illness continue its mission of improving the lives of those affected by mental illness.

Every donation counts towards my goal!

Your contribution will help provide vital services such as support groups, and educational resources for individuals and families affected by mental illness.

Together, we can make a difference.

My Updates

Beating the Blues

Friday 29th Aug
Hello everyone.
Just a  bit about why I want to do this challenge . As some of you know my life has been difficult in many ways what with going through domestic violence, loosing a baby, many health issues and operations and  being diagnosed with CPTSD. I have battled alone for years and only in the last few months felt my mental health has really improved. Being able to go back to work part time and meeting my partner Steve has really helped. I have some wonderful friends who I spend as much time as possible with and not to mention my beautiful fur babies . They have been a real help along the way. I decided to make a very important decision at Christmas that for a change I would start looking after me as I have always put everyone else first. This was a real turning point for my mental health. It’s not selfish to say no and make time to rest or to do things you enjoy. I still have days where things feel overwhelming but walking Tilly helps me so much. It clears my head and is helping me to loose weight that I had gained due to being so inactive through ill health what with breaking my back in 6 places and having a 70% torn knee ligament plus having fibromyalgia and the medication , my weight had skyrocketed.  Mental health is not talked about enough and I for one suffered so many years alone because I was always told it was weak to ask for help. I want to raise awareness and give as much support as I can to anyone who needs it. This is just a little thing but I hope it really helps someone.
So please, I know we are all struggling with the rising costs of living but if you can spare a few pennies I would be so very great full .  Thank you . Michelle 🩷
