About Us

We are Rethink Mental Illness

Founded by carers, we have unique expertise in mental illness, including schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar and personality disorders.

We change lives by challenging negative attitudes to mental illness, including tackling stigma and discrimination.

People severely affected by mental illness are at the heart of everything we do – they shape our services, run our support groups and drive our campaigning.

What we do

As experts in mental illness, we know that with the right support and information people severely affected by mental illness can have a good quality of life.

That’s why our aim is to meet each person’s individual needs and make sure everyone living with a mental illness is treated with dignity and respect.
