About the events
The Edinburgh Marathon Festival takes place across one fun filled weekend!
Whether you're an experienced runner or just getting into the sport, there is a run for you.
The EMF 5K and 10K both happen on the saturday of the EMF weekend. They start and finish near Dynamic Earth and the route offers beautiful panoramic views of the city and Edinburgh Castle.
The EMF Half Marathon is a flat and fast route, starting off downhill and flattening out for the finish line - great if its your first half marathon or if you want to set a PB!
The EMF Marathon is voted the fastest marathon in the UK by Runner's world! The route takes in Edinburgh's most iconic landmarks and views along the East Lothian coastline.
