I'm fundraising for Rethink Mental Illness!

On the 27 of April 2025 I am participating in the iconic London Marathon to raise money for Rethink Mental Illness.

It is so important it is to have access to resources and support. After many years battling Gambling Addiction that had a significantly detrimental affect on my Mental Health, is why I am taking part in this event - to help Rethink Mental Illness continue its mission of improving the lives of those affected by severe mental health issues as well as raising valuable funds for essential Mental Health services in the UK.

Every donation counts towards my goal of reaching £2,000!

Your contribution will help provide vital services such as support groups, and educational resources for individuals and families affected by mental illness.

Why im doing this!

Ultimately im just trying to "do my bit" for a charity that is doing amazing things for mental health in the UK.  Just to underline the battle we are facing:

1).Whilst this is a battle that is face d by both men and women, men are on average 3 times more likely to die by suicide than Women.  Suicide is a leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK

2). Over 10% of men in the UK have a mental health disability

3) Anxiety disorders are common in Men, including OCD and Social Anxiety

4) 40% of men are said to have never spoken about their mental health challenges

5) Men are less likely to access Mental health treatment than women, with some of the biggest causes being work (over 30%). finances (over 30%) and general health challenges (over 20%)
