Mima’s Berlin Marathon 2025 for Rethink Mental Illness
In September 2025, I will be running the Berlin Marathon (my first ever eek) for Rethink Mental Illness both in memory of my father and for all the years myself and many friends have struggled with their mental health.
My father sadly passed away in December 2024, after battling his mental health and addiction for over 10 years. Before his mental health deteriorated, he was the best dad I could have ever wished for. Although we had a painful relationship near the end, not a day goes by that i’m not grateful for all our happy memories.
Mental Illness sadly impacts so many people, and their families or friends who surround them. After witnessing my father struggle, I myself sadly have dealt with OCD and anxiety. Without the support of friends, family and charities - I would not be where I am today! It is now time to give back and make my daddy proud.

Rethink Mental Illness mission is improving the lives of those affected by severe mental health issues.
