I'm fundraising for Rethink Mental Illness!
I’m taking on the Valencia Marathon 2025 to raise funds for Rethink Mental Illness, a charity that works tirelessly to support people affected by mental health challenges.
Mental health is something very close to mine and my friends’ hearts. Having grown up in an environment where mental health was frequently talked about by family and friends, I was lucky enough to be able to speak freely about issues without fear of judgement. For many people this is not the case. That’s why, charities such as Rethink are so important to support, given their work in promoting conversations around mental health and in turn, reducing the stigma around it.
Losing our friend, Honor Edwards, to mental health struggles has made it impossible to ignore why this mission is so important. It made me realise how crucial the work of these charities, as well as open conversations are. Honor was someone who recognised this. From checking in on friends to raising money for mental health charities, she continuously showed up for this cause and was a stellar example of how activism can influence people’s lives.
Inspired by her dedication to promoting this cause, I want to raise this money to support rethink to help others going through similar struggles. This is why I have chosen Rethink, as they work towards providing vital services, campaigns for better care, and helps reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
I’m running to help make a difference—and I’d love your support!
