I'm fundraising for Rethink Mental Illness!
Hi, I’m Harry, and in October 2025, I’ll be taking on the challenge of the Dublin Marathon not just as a personal challenge, but as an incredibly important mission. I’m raising funds for Rethink Mental Illness which is a charity close to my heart and is dedicated to supporting those affected by mental health struggles, campaigning for better care, and breaking down the stigma around mental illness.
This resonates deeply with me because I’ve faced my own struggles with mental health. Thanks to the support of the NHS and various help groups, I’ve been able to navigate those tough times. Now, I’m ready to give back and help others find these lifelines.
There’s another personal reason this marathon is so meaningful. My grandad, Terry, was a passionate marathon runner. Unfortunately, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, he passed away. I was, and still am, incredibly inspired by his dedication and love for the sport. Throughout his life, his marathon medals were proudly displayed in his office, it would be an honour for me to be able to add another medal to the collection. It feels like the perfect way to honour his memory and celebrate his life. It’s not just about running 26.2 miles, it’ll be a really special moment for my family, carrying on my grandad's running legacy and making him proud.
Mental health affects us all, directly or indirectly, and Rethink does incredible work providing vital services, campaigning for better support, and fostering understanding. By running this marathon, I hope to contribute to their life-changing efforts.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Together, we can support Rethink in transforming lives and building a future where no one has to face mental illness alone.

Final Push, next stop, Dublin 😎
Monday 13th OctI recently hit a big training milestone 384 miles so far this year! 😅
With just 13 days to go until the Dublin Marathon, it’s all about the final push. Early mornings, long runs, and even the occasional double session legs are tired, alarm clock hates me, but every mile has been worth it.
I’m running in memory of my grandad, Terry, who inspired me to start running, and I know that he has been with me every step of training 💙
Huge thanks to everyone who’s supported me along the way, the cheers, messages, and advice really keep me going.
