I'm fundraising for Rethink Mental Illness!
In September 2025, I am participating in the iconic Great North Run to raise money for Rethink Mental Illness.
It is so important it is to have access to resources and support. That's why I am taking part in this event - to help Rethink Mental Illness continue its mission of improving the lives of those affected by severe mental health issues.
Every donation counts towards my goal of reaching £350!
Your contribution will help provide vital services such as support groups, and educational resources for individuals and families affected by mental illness.
Together, we can make a difference.

Rethink Mental Illness: Why It’s Time to Change the Conversation
Monday 14th AprMental health has come a long way in public discourse, but there’s still a long road ahead. “Rethink Mental Illness” isn’t just a phrase—it’s a call to challenge outdated perceptions, break down stigma, and build a society that truly understands and supports those struggling with mental health conditions.
Too often, mental illness is misunderstood, misrepresented, or ignored. Stereotypes and fear can isolate individuals at a time when they need connection the most. Rethinking mental illness means recognizing that these conditions are not character flaws or personal failures—they are real, complex, and deserve the same care and compassion as physical health issues.
It’s important because change starts with awareness. When we shift how we think about mental health, we open the door to better support systems, more accessible care, and a culture where people feel safe to speak up. Whether it’s at work, at home, or in our communities, we all play a role in creating an environment where mental wellness is prioritized.
Let’s move beyond stigma and toward understanding. Let’s listen more, judge less, and create space for healing. It’s time to rethink mental illness—not just for others, but for ourselves too.
