I'm fundraising for Rethink Mental Illness!
On the 14th of September I am participating in Swim Serpentine to raise money for Rethink Mental Illness.
As some of you know I have done a lot of fundraising In the past in the name of Megan, my daughter who passed away when she was 8 months in Great Ormond Street.
Her passing has affected me a lot and my mental health has been fragile and I have suffered with anxiety and depression for the last 23 years. I have often had outbursts and episodes which people have seen as irrational but I have been fighting a battle inside for a long time.
When I have confided in people about my mental health I have often been rejected.
Mental illness is as much a disease as cancer with many sufferers resorting to suicide or harmful acts.
By doing this fundraiser I want to raise awareness for the people that suffer with mental illness and to try and change the attitude shown to this terrible disease.
Every donation counts towards my goal of reaching £250!
Together, we can make a difference.
Go for it !!!
