I'm fundraising for Rethink Mental Illness!
I write and reach out with sadness in my heart as I remember my partner Shaun, who recently lost his battle to mental health. Shaun was not just my partner and best friend; he was my confidant, my joy, my inspiration, my safe space and not forgetting, my own personal comedy act! He was the best Daddy to his 3 girls and the best father figure to my 4 children, he was adored and is missed hugely by anyone who knew him.
Sadly his struggles with mental health became a part of his life, and despite his bravery, he faced challenges that many didn’t see or understand.
We had big plans for 2025, it was going to be our year with lots to look forward too, however life has taught me things can change in the blink of an eye, so as we navigate through this grief, it’s become priority to me to honour Shaun’s memory and help support others who may face similar struggles. To do this I will be taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 6th April 2025 to raise funds for ‘Rethink Mental Illness’, a charity that is dedicated to providing support for those experiencing mental health difficulties. This cause is incredibly close to my heart, and I believe that by working together, we can help make a difference.
To help me succeed in this challenge and raise awareness I ask if you can kindly support me in this fundraising effort with a donation, every penny raised will go directly to the charity Rethink Mental Illness. Please join me in this effort to create a world where mental health is prioritised, there is no stigma and where no one has to face their struggles alone.
Let’s honor Shaun’s memory by spreading love and support to those in need.
