Today is World Mental Health Day. Thank you for all your support

Friday 10th Oct
Wherever you are and whatever you do Thank you. Today is
a celebration of how far we’ve come defeating stigma and
prejudice. It still feels like a mountain to climb some days.
Together we’ve come a long, long way and more people are
living with a severe mental illness in their communities.
We need to support more and more to do so thank you to
you for being with us on this adventure and journey to hope,
trust, joy and kindness. You are so very, very kind. Love and Peace 💚

Refugees bring us so much kindness and joy.

Wednesday 27th Aug
It’s time to step up and counter the hate and lies being
promoted everywhere by folk monetising misery and using
poor and vulnerable people for their own twisted reasons.
Refugees strengthen us, They are good and kind people.
Stop the nonsense and stop the hate because that way
is a sure route to madness. How many families are now being 
torn apart by extremista and their hate? Good mental health
denands we put the focus on the good refugees bring to all
of us. We are stronger together and it needs to be said, We 
are lucky to have the assistance of so many brilliant refugees.
We listen and learn from them everyday. Open your hearts
and minds to kind people and defeat the haters stirring up chaos. Why are they now so obsessed with hate? Why now?
Love and peace to all friends of refugees and the disappeared 
Big Issue Sellers and others  now too afraid to go out because hate has taken over. Hate is everywhere and nowhere. It has
gone mainstream and too few of us are opposing it and are standing up to the thugs and bullies waving flags and lager
cans at poor and vulnerable people who are fearing  for their lives. Why are we not doing more to help refugees?
We are kind. We are caring and we give people help when
they need us, It makes us human. Thank you

There is No Darkness Kindness Cannot Reach

Ok. Not everyday is going to be good and right now. Most days tend to feel rather bad. There is good in all of us and and we
need to carry on doing good things until the tide turns and more good people join us doing good every day. Sorry if this sounds a little OTT. Rethink is a determined organisation full
of good people doing good things everyday and we can all be
proud of each other for doing more good things. We are resilient and we need to be in a climate that changes so frequently. Above all we care for each other and caring people are the best people. We all have stories and it was stories that helped us to find the courage, the spark and inspiration to
communicate across different cultures, different lands and
different histories. Above all else we are stronger together.
A new map of Africa is being talked about more. 55 states and
1 billion people, make Africa not just the second largest
continent but the home to all of us. Life began in Africa and
then we walked, danced or ran our way far and wide. What if
we’d stayed put? What if our ancestors decided not to bother
trying to save themselves from lions or whatever the threat was then? Approx  350,000 years ago from the fossil record, when recently found footprints were identified and tested,
early humanoid species lived side by side and didn’t try to destroy each other? Are we the wisest animals now? Here’s a tribute to amazing carers from Zimbabwe who have made life 
fun again for mum at 93. Thank you Zimbabwe for being such
kind and stoic people helping us today.

March ( St David’s Day) appeared one week later on 8/3/25.

important message out there and thank you Rita for checking
out our exhibition in Belper Library last year.

Ok folks. Help me with this please? I’ve just increased target from £150 to £500 for this page. It’s now inline with our BROS page target of £500 and my Just Giving Page for Rethink also £500. We can do more than this and with events and challenges and all you Kind and Wonderful People doing your own Pages for Rethink Funraising, we will. Thank you and best wishes to you all.

This is Bella, 11 years young, a miniature Shetland therapy pony. She was at Naidex 20th March. It was a brilliant few
hours at the NEC with amazing, kind people after a torrid
week of verbal abuse towards disabled people, or so it felt
to me. Mental Health problems can only get worse when
Ignorance and Prejudice run rampant. We all need Hope and
Kindness in troubled times and face to face meetings matter.
I hope we do more and more in Rethink to bring people back
together and help people live free of fear. Thank you.
